“I can’t say enough great things about Minnesota Community Sings!  I’m proud to have been a part of the community sing at Martin Luther King Park.  I was amazed at the ability of a community sing to bridge the differences in a neighborhood that are oftentimes overlooked.  Over 130 neighbors of all ages and ethnicities poured into the rec center on a stormy, hot night in August to sing together.  For the few short hours of the sing, people were reminded of the universal appeal of music.  We sang songs that all of us knew as children and we taught each other songs from our own communities.  I learned that it’s impossible to not get along with your neighbor when you’re singing with them.  Minnesota Community Sings is welcome in any Minneapolis Park at any time!”
